A WordPress 2.8.1 upgrade-gone-bad brought the site down for a few days, but I was able to revert to a working backup and everything seems to be back in order now.
I just upgraded the site to 2.8.1 manually (with less surprising results). If you notice any problems with the site under WP 2.8, please let me know!

The Maker Faire Bay Area 2009 Call for Makers is now online.
Proposals are due by March 31st. There is still plenty of time to finish up that project you’ve been working on and submit it to be in the Faire.
As someone who has exhibited at the Maker Faire in past years, I highly recommend it – you will see a whole different side of the Faire backstage and meet lots of great people while showing the world what makers can do!

Last night we had a great turnout at Instructables HQ with a mix of regulars and new folks who decided to drop by before the dorkbot-sf meeting downstairs.
