I found this site through EDN. It is called eReplacement Parts and it has all the parts for a huge number of power tools. This could be a great resource for things like gear assemblies, triggers, cases etc.

They can give you access to an excellent set of prototyping tools for the cost of a gym membership… and they are hosting our first meeting!
I’ll add them to a Wiki Education page as soon as a Wiki is up.
