These just launched in New York April 30th (Sorry could not find a decent photo)
“littleBits is an opensource library of discrete electronic components pre-assembled in tiny circuit boards. Just as Legos allow you to create complex structures with very little engineering knowledge, littleBits are simple, intuitive, space-sensitive blocks that make prototyping with sophisticated electronics a matter of snapping small magnets together. With a growing number of available modules, littleBits aims to move electronics from late stages of the design process to its earliest ones, and from the hands of experts, to those of artists, makers and designers.”

@esawdust just posted a recap of a neat class at Sparkfun yesterday with lots of great photos.
Sometimes I wish Colorado was just a little bit closer to the Bay Area! Nathan, how about a San Francisco extension?

Had a good meeting at TechShop yesterday. Much better turnout than had we gone up against the Superbowl.
Again check the Make:SF Flickr Pool for more photos.
As usual, presenters, you are encouraged to add a one line blurb about your talk to the wiki.
Among other topics we had an interested discussion of how Theremins work… which brought up this good article on how capacitive sensors are affected. (PDF Link)
Also a mentions of the upcoming LED Conference Feb 18-20 and ETech Conference March 9-12.
See you Tuesday at Instructables!
